Moving the imager around a object provides a three dimensional perspective for corrosion inspection, allowing the operator to scan a range of object sizes much more quickly and with more detail than any previously available digital X-ray systems. A video targeting camera is provided to show the area of x-ray view.
Images are presented on a high-resolution 7” LCD display or on a heads-up display mounted to a hard hat. A digital video recorder with LCD display provides an optional viewing station and also provides storage of corrosion inspection images in digital video format on a 30GB hard drive and SD cards.
These corrosion inspection systems yield hundreds of hours of a proven track record in rugged industrial environments including the North Slope of Alaska.
Typical accumulated dose to the operator = 20 to 65mr per month reported, 100mr per 7 days is the allowable limit
